Unlimited Access Policy and Terms of Use

Unlimited Access Terms

Unlimited Access means that as long as Scrapper’s Guide, LLC owns and operates myancestorbox.com you will have online access to all purchased classes. Your access is more fully explained in our Terms of Use, below.

As the name suggests, we want to provide you the most extensive access to classes as we can. However, there may be some practical limits to the access we can provide. For example, if myancestorbox.com changes ownership or ceases operation, Unlimited Access may become more limited or be discontinued.

In the event of a change in classroom software, older classes that are no longer for sale are not guaranteed to be transferred to the new classroom in their original form, but the downloads of class videos, PDFs, and other materials will be made available to students who have purchased that class.

Scrapper’s Guide LLC, dba MyAncestorBox, occasionally hosts a Challenge that requires student registration. Challenge content may appear in several places including a private Facebook group, in our classroom software, or delivered by email. Challenges are one-time events and are not considered courses. Therefore Challenges are not subject to Unlimited Access terms.

Scrapper’s Guide, LLC will attempt to notify members of any change that affects Unlimited Access using the currently registered email address in the member’s area. Members are responsible to keep their email address current and to regularly check their email from the company. Be aware, if you unsubscribe from our email list and don’t regularly check these Terms of Use we will not be able to keep you up to date about important changes to your Unlimited Access materials.

In the event of a change in ownership or discontinuation of operations, Unlimited Access Members will have ninety (90) days from the date of the email notification to download any videos or products from their classes. After that time, all Unlimited Access content may be limited or removed and further access to the classes may be discontinued. We encourage Unlimited Access Members to regularly download and back up content from classes that are important to them on their own computers or media to avoid any interruption of access to products.

Providing notification and the opportunity to download classes comprises the sole responsibility of Scrapper’s Guide, LLC and its agents, members, or employees for Unlimited Access products.

Terms of Use

YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS BEFORE USING OUR PRODUCTS. BY VIEWING OUR CLASSES AND OTHER PRODUCTS YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND UNDERSTAND THAT THEY WILL BE LEGALLY BINDING ON YOU.

License Agreement/Terms of Use for Class Content
The graphic files and video content contained in MyAncestorBox Classes are the product of Scrapper’s Guide LLC and are protected by United States copyright law. Scrapper’s Guide LLC grants you permission to use the contents you download from myancestorbox.com under the following conditions:

Personal Use License

You have the right to:

  • ​Install, copy, modify, and use the graphics contained in classes and in class segments for your personal use only. You may use images downloaded from our site on non-commercial personal websites and blogs as long as credit is given to the designer and Scrappers Guide LLC. Any use of images contained in an MyAncestorBox class, in whole or in part, that leads to financial increase requires the purchase of a Commercial Use license.

You do not have the right to:

  • ​Share your Class login and password with anyone for the purpose of sharing the content. This is theft. 
  • ​Share, loan, rent, resell, or distribute content downloaded from a MyAncestorBox class in whole or in part using any technology available now or in the future. This is software piracy.
  • ​Download, transfer, or post the graphic images or video clips contained in an MyAncestorBox class across a network, internet, or web page for the purpose of reuse by others.
  • ​Play the video clips in group class settings unless class members have all purchased the class that includes the video lessons.
  • ​Make copies of class materials or documentation other than for personal use and back-up purposes. Commercial use requires a Commercial Use license.
  • ​Copy by electronic means, reproduce, scan, modify, or create derivative works from the graphic images or video content of a class for the purpose of resale or distribution for financial increase.
  • ​Claim any graphics, whether modified or not, as your own.
  • ​Use images downloaded from MyAncestorBox to create a custom book, such as a school year book or sports team album, where other interested parties pay any amount of money for their own copies, whether you profit from it or not, unless you first purchase a Limited Commercial Use License. Exception: if you give away all copies you do not need to purchase a Limited Commercial Use License. In either case, proper credit for the designer(s) and Scrapper’s Guide LLC must be placed somewhere in the book.

Video lessons and graphics are provided on an as-is basis. In no event will Scrapper’s Guide LLC be liable for any damages for lost profits, lost savings, or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use its products even if Scrapper’s Guide LLC has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Any dispute or action to interpret these Terms of Use shall be brought exclusively in the County of Multnomah in the State of Oregon and shall be governed by Oregon law.

Your personal results and the time you save in preserving your family history may vary from typical results based on your unique situation, how closely you follow the strategies and techniques taught in our courses, and the amount and quality of effort you put into preserving your family history. Limitation of Liability

Buyer and Scrapper’s Guide LLC, dba MyAncestorBox (Company) acknowledge and agree that the Company will not be liable for any losses or damages, whether indirect, incidental, special, or consequential, to electronic data or physical family history objects, such as, but not limited to, photographs, slides, negatives, albums, or memorabilia, irrespective of whether or not the Buyer has been advised or otherwise might have anticipated the possibility of such loss or damage.
